Hello and welcome to whatever this is.
It’s been a while since I last “actively” writing. Right before I graduated and jumped into the real world, I had a domain under my name, Hidayat Jamalolail. Before it was a portfolio site for my work gallery as a creative designer, I used to write a lot back then. I remember there was one post that I wrote about my experience having to go to my first political demonstration; the Bersih 2, it went viral to my definition. Lots of people read and saw the photos that I took.
Then, something shitty happens.
The service provider; whom I still remember their name (Cubiex) went AWOL. Literally overnight, they went non-existent and everything I had, was lost. No heads up whatsoever. I can’t remember what had happened.
So I restart everything again with a new service provider. But writing was not an active hobby that I did anymore. Life happens and career kickstart. So my focus was more on the portfolio side. But from time to time, I did still post some writing and mostly I did them on my social media (Facebook, Instagram). Yet again, life happens and I lost that domain again due to some financial constraints. Hence, the free wordpress for now.
It’s been a while (almost a decade).
Since it’s the new year and my career is taking a pivot, I guess it’s time that I restart again doing what I first love most. I’m also thinking of a second book in the picture. Who knows. My first book was published in 2015, so it’s been 10 years since. Let see how it goes, I’m not going to jump the gun promising things that may not happened. But, I’m eager to make it a reality. We’ll just have to wait and see.
